The iRobot Home App is easy to use, however we found it less reliable as other robotic cleaner apps. It can take a while to download updates, and it can be difficult to determine whether they're working until you see them in action.

The Q5+ is noticeable soft around obstacles like wall legs and table legs which makes it a great choice for homes with lots of furniture. It's also extremely thorough in cleaning dust bunnies, which is an area where cheaper robot vacuums be a bit sloppy. The Q5+'s navigation system is superb, with only a few mishaps on walls and corners.
Like other Roborock devices like the Q5+, the Q5+ can be controlled using a few buttons on the device itself or through the Roborock app. The app allows you to start and stop cleaning. You can also set schedules, create virtual barriers and no-go areas and modify your home map or re-label rooms.
If you choose the Q5+ model, it comes with a new auto-emptying dock, designed to make the robot easier to maintain. Installing it requires a screwdriver, but once in place it can be done with relative ease. It also comes with a large LCD display which is great to have when you're setting up schedules or altering settings. This isn't a necessary feature for everyone however it can aid in keeping track of the intervals between maintenance for your robot easily.
3. Narwal Freo X Ultra
The Freo X Ultra robot vacuum and mop is a sophisticated well-rounded vacuum and mop. It's capable of mopping and vacuuming. Its design and functionality are among the top available however it's expensive.
The base station looks nice and hides it when not in use, and the dimensions are quite small. The main reason to buy the station is that it can automate many tasks, functions and chores that other robots have to leave to you. It stores clean and dirty water, electrolyzes and heats the water (which most other robovacs require you to do) also emptying the dustbin after vacuuming, and helps keep your robot fully charged and clean.
Its vacuuming performance is quite impressive as well. It's the only robot vacuum I've tested that does a good job picking up dirt from floors that aren't. It's also not as loud as the costly Roomba 900 series or iRobot 980.
The Freo X Ultra is not without faults, particularly in the area of navigation. Its laser sensors and LiDAR sensors aren't as reliable and reliable as other robotvacs. This means it is prone to getting stuck or get confused in certain corners or rooms of the house. It's not able to navigate stairs as well as some competitors, and doesn't come with an dock that allows the user to set up an exclusive cleaning zone for carpets with plush padding.

If you're looking to save some cash, or just don't care about the limitations of this machine there are many other great choices available with a wide range of eufy models that cost significantly less. The Eufy Qrevo Curv, for example is less expensive and provides the same experience in the app, but with more features like the ability to climb stairs, a full-function dock, and superior overall performance when vacuuming floors as well as high- and low-pile carpets.

Eufy, a Anker company, has a track record of making robot vacuums that strike the perfect balance between performance, features and price. The way that the G30 cleans is what differentiates it from its rivals. It uses an integrated map to make a picture of the immovable objects in its path. It can remember what it has already cleaned and the areas it was unable to access. It automatically returns to the base to recharge and continues cleaning where it left off.
The eufy G30 isn't without its faults, though. The iRobot Roomba is more durable and has lower cost of operation. It charges faster, offers the same battery life and performs better on bare carpet or floors with low pile. It also has a bigger dust bin that doesn't need to be emptied as often and comes with a set of boundary strips to restrict it from certain areas. The G30 is more affordable and simpler to maintain. Its smaller dust canister does not require emptying as often and is less prone to suffocating bulky materials like cereal.
